What’s up people! It’s Reina from Create Much and I’ve been watching Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution on ABC. This show was mentioned to me by one of my classmates in my Medical Sociology Class. Food Revolution is an amazing show and it presents the obesity problem that we have in America. Jamie Oliver traveled to Huntington, West Virginia in hopes of inspiring the people of the town to eat healthier and to learn how to cook healthy meals in their own homes. He goes to two schools, an elementary school and high school, and he does an experiment on changing the cafeteria menus to serve healthier and wholesome meals. I believe what Jamie is doing is an awesome thing. We need this and I’m glad that he came here to help us wake up. Obviously obesity has been always been a huge issue in our society. But we need to change. This is not only for obese people out there but we need this change for everyone whether skinny or not. Just what Jamie said in a interview with Oprah, this is not only about being skinny, this is also about what we put in our bodies that could increase the quality and length of our lives. I know many of you out there might think that it’s up to us on what we WANT to eat. And it is our responsibility on how we end up. And I totally understand that notion. But we change more than ever.
No one else will change the food industry for us, so we must change if we want the change. I know there is alot resistance out there but we are the solution to the problems that we have made. Be a part of this. You are making history happen. Please sign Jamie’s petition so he can present it to the White House to prove that people care and that we want change.
